Welcome to Luringen Guesthouse – Paradise for the soul in the middle of Lake Vänern. Lurö is the southernmost island in the Lurö archipelago, some seven nautical miles from Värmlandsnäs to the north and Kållandsö to the south. Less than an hour by boat you’ll find a place where the water meets the sky – yet far inland. Spend the night in the ‘Fyrhuset’ lighthouse or ‘Sjöboden’ boatshed, or even safely moored on the sailing sloop Gjöa, a replica of Roald Amundsen’s polar research ship. We also offer accomodation in new cabins Vindöga or Lovart, each with a splendid sea view. Whichever you choose you can soak up the genuine feel of the archipelago far from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Our sauna raft ‘Mysingen’ is also tied up here with its grill cot and wood-fired hot tub, a sensual experience under Vänern’s starry night. Holiday or conference? School camp or party?
